Let’s Just Say I’m Glad the Grades Don’t Count

"Teacher, we are eager to learn."

A friend alerted me to this test of scientific literacy.

Give it a try — no google cheating — and let me know how you do.

And even though I got the first 5 questions right, my final score (to be disclosed in the comments, eventually) left little doubt that I was an English major in college.

Yeah, that’s my excuse.

I got a 42 out of 50, pretty proud actually. A lot of the knowledge was from high school I think.

  2. Brandon Auerbach says:

    You were an English major?!

    • Paul Sax says:

Brandon, yes an English major — can’t tell whether your comment means, “That’s unusual for a doctor” or, more ominously, “But you write so poorly!”

      Hope it’s the former.

      🙂

  3. Mike says:

So how many did you get right? I got 30. Mainly by guessing.

  4. anonydoc says:

36 out of 50… that could be grade C?
    it works for me…
but: now i know that don’t know enough about: PLANETS!

  5. Paul Sax says:

Anonydoc, I like your score (72%) — same as mine!
